​Welcome to my site 

​I am a wife, teacher, writer and feline fan (not quite crazy cat lady) originally from the UK.
More than 10 years ago,
hubby and I arrived in Georgia to teach in the sunny suburbs of Atlanta.
​Initially, we planned to stay just one year, for our little "American adventure", but we soon fell in love with our new lives here.
Now metro Atlanta is our
​home-from-home.


​     As a freelance writer since 2001,
​I have written for national UK newspapers including 
​The Sunday Times,
​The Irish Times, The Times educational supplement and
The Telegraph, as well as magazines such as NOW and Red.
By starting my own website/blog I can be
​writer, photographer, editor and publisher
all at the same time.
No offence to my lovely former editors Emma, Jeremy, Jo, Josie etc.
​but this way I have complete control over my work.

​​Not that I’m a control freak or anything!
