I am a wife, teacher, writer and feline fan (not quite crazy cat lady) originally from the UK. More than 10 years ago, hubby and I arrived in Georgia to teach in the sunny suburbs of Atlanta. Initially, we planned to stay just one year, for our little "American adventure", but we soon fell in love with our new lives here. Now metro Atlanta is our home-from-home.
As a freelance writer since 2001, I have written for national UK newspapers including The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, The Times educational supplement and The Telegraph, as well as magazines such as NOW and Red. By starting my own website/blog I can be writer, photographer, editor and publisher all at the same time. No offence to my lovely former editors Emma, Jeremy, Jo, Josie etc. but this way I have complete control over my work.
Not that I’m a control freak or anything!
